What Changed in 2024

Since 1 January 2024, Wallonia has discontinued direct grants for the installation of solar panels. This means there are no longer immediate financial incentives to offset the cost of installing photovoltaic panels. Additionally, the prosumer tariff compensation systems and grants for installing dual-flow meters no longer apply to new installations.

What About Existing Installations?

Systems commissioned before 31 December 2023 retain certain financial benefits until 2030. These include:

  • Reversed Metering: Allows you to reduce your energy bill by compensating for the electricity injected into the grid.
  • Compensations via Dual-Flow Meters: A mechanism still available for these older installations.
